We left Barcelona on the 9.25am train this morning, changing trains at Narbonne, where Ian delivered our suitcases to the 'Le Boat' depot for us to collect after our return from our boat trip next week. We are now 'travelling light' with a restricted wardrobe in our backpacks plus an extra bag!
Tonight we are staying in B&B 'L'Echappee Belle' in Carcassonne, a medieval walled fortress town. We spent some time exploring the town this afternoon and enjoying the atmosphere of the ancient walled city, before enjoying a very pleasant dinner at the Restaurant L'Ostal.
